Today was supposed to be a moment for me to say how the game is coming along. I've been working on the game everyday since December and it was supposed to be a simple update today. Bug fixes, hot fixes, game play changes and so on. I had been editing the battles to make some of the enemies smarter and more challenging. Not to mention I had all of my  troops laid out. 

So, today during play testing. My computer crashed. No issue. It has crashed before. But with the crash two major area were corrupted. 

Troops (Enemy teams) and States (Status effects) 

Now, the other bugs have been fixed and this would have been fine. Except my backup didn't work.

So, losing those files and that data hurts.

It hurts a lot.

It's demoralizing.

I thought immediately, I'm going to just cancel the game.

But that wouldn't be honest and that wouldn't be fair to those of you who read these and support my game. Not to mention the thousands who have it on their computers. 

So, I will continue working on it. 

This was a major setback. A truly upsetting one. But, such is life. I'm still going to get it done. It's still going to be a great game. I'll continue working everyday. 

Grief and depression aren't really needed right now.
